• Lawyer: a lawyer within the meaning of Article 4 of the Federal Law on the Free Movement of Lawyers (RS 955.61; hereinafter: LLCA; Switzerland), partner of Lawrence and having an account.
• Lawrence or us : Lawrence SA, registered in the commercial register of Lawrence legal SA (CHE-413.798.237), with headquarters at Rond-Point de Plainpalais, 7, 1205 Geneva
• Personal Data: all information collected under Article 2 of the Privacy Policy.
• Service(s): any service(s) offered by Lawrence on the Site.
• Site: the website " law-rence.ch " and all its web pages.
• User(s) or You: a Client and/or a Lawyer.

SECTION 2 TYPES OF DATA PROVIDED TO LAWRENCE

We collect the following personal data about you:

• Name;
• First name;
• Telephone number;
• Mailing address;
• Email address;
• Data communicated in the context of the use of the Services.
• Information of a technical nature, on your equipment (internet browser, operating system, manufacturer of the phone / computer / place of connection).

If you are a company, we also collect:                             

• Company name;
• Contact person (name, first name).

SECTION 3: PURPOSES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION BY LAWRENCE

We collect your personal data for the purpose of:

• Provide the Services;
• Improve the Services;
• Understand your technical needs and detect potential software incompatibilities in order to continuously improve our online application;
• Process payments;
• Ensure there are no conflicts of interest;
• Identify the right lawyer to answer your questions;
• Allow the lawyer to keep a history of the advice given;
• Provide user support;
• Understand the legal service needs of users and provide the right specializations from our partner attorneys.

We do not use your mailing address to send you physical mail, all communication between you and us is done through email, the platform or by phone.

SECTION 4 DATA SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES

Lawrence uses the company STRIPE to ensure secure payment traffic. This company collects your name, first name, address, phone number, email, credit card and the wording of the purchased Services. https://stripe.com/fr-ch/privacy

When you sign up for the Lawrence Newsletter, you agree to provide your email address to Sending blue. You can revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the Newsletter in each email received via your User Area.

SECTION 5 DATA RETENTION PERIOD

We keep your personal data only for the time necessary to achieve the purposes stated in art. 3. Insofar as Lawrence works with lawyers, and in accordance with the rules of the legal profession, we keep your data for a maximum period of 10 years. After this legal period, your data is destroyed.  

SECTION 6 STATISTICAL DATA

Lawrence uses the services of the companies Facebook and Google in order to obtain statistical data on the use of the Site. The data obtained by this means are anonymized, they are not subject to any storage by us.

SECTION 7 CLOSING AN ACCOUNT AND DELETING YOUR DATA

You may, at any time, close your account and request Lawrence to delete your personal data, provided that your request does not concern data that Lawrence is required to keep for the legal period of 10 years. To do so, please send an e-mail to Lawrence: hello@lawrence.ch.

SECTION 9 RIGHT TO RESTRICT PROCESSING AND TO OBJECT TO IT

You may at any time request a restriction or a termination of the processing of your personal data. Please note, however, that depending on your request, Lawrence may no longer be able to provide the Services to you. SECTION 11 DATA SECURITY

Lawrence is committed to protecting your personal data. To this end, Lawrence implements all appropriate security and organizational measures to ensure this protection. However, we inform you that no security system is infallible and that, very often, the user himself is the target of attackers. We therefore encourage you to be vigilant, not to transmit your login data to the site, to use a secure password, to check the security of links in emails before clicking and not to open attachments of dubious origin. Note that Lawrence will never ask you for your password by email.
